Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so we're helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, we've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of New York City. Stay safe and enjoy!

1. Lake George, New York

We often forget that in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains sits this beautiful stunning lake, a destination that is full of recreational activities, a plethora of greenery and plenty of options for relaxation. You certainly want to make it to the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival on your visit!

2. Stowe, Vermont

Escape the everyday hustle for a rustic retreat in one of New England's oldest and most prestigious towns. Typically known for its winter activities, summertime in Stowe also boasts some of the most jaw-dropping views of the surrounding glittering lakes, soaring peaks and lush greenery.

3. The North Fork, Long Island

If wine is on the list, you must stop here this summer! On the northern end of Long Island you'll find a few vineyards that offer outside dining and tours of their grounds. Be sure to try out their famous Little Creek Oyster Farm and Market  for a great taste of what Long Island has to offer!

Staying Home Instead?

Luckily there are lots of ways to still enjoy the summer while staying safe.

4. Poconos, Pennsylvania

For days full of fun and activities make sure you spend some time here this summer! Waterparks, Horseback riding, tubing, paintball course, shooting ranges, you name it they have it! Perfect for every one in the entire family. We guarantee you'll find something to do during your stay here!

5. Newport, Rhode Island

Beaches & seafood! What more can you ask for on a hot summer day? Filled with shore town activities New Port is designed to help you relax and get away from your everyday. Although it's filled with beautiful ocean views you want to make time to explore the town's iconic mansions!  They are jaw-droppingly gorgeous and each have their own, unique character.

6. Montauk, Long Island

Long Island's charming South Fork is dominated by majestic white sand beaches, plenty of hiking trails, cozy seaside inns, and high society hot spots–making this a mega popular getaway for anyone who lives close to the city! With only about two hours this is a perfect summer getaway!
