Cleared to Close!
In this blog we will review the what happens once the bank clears the loan. You're at the very final steps! Lets get those keys in your hand!
Confirm the closing
There are going to be a lot of parties involved with the closing so many times confirming a time and date can be challenging. The main parties that have to confirm are buyer attorney, seller attorney, buyer and seller and title closer. When a bank is involved, there is also a bank attorney that needs to confirm. When the transaction is for a co-op, there is a co-op attorney that is added to the mix. Its important to be patient and available, after all you're just a few steps from becoming a new home owner!
Now that you have a time and date for the closing it's important we schedule a final walk through. We recommend doing this as close to the closing as possible. It's not likely that something will happen between the walk through and the closing but we wouldn't like to take any chances. It is going to be the last time you see the house before it becomes your home! During the walk through we will make sure that the home is in the same conditions you agreed to purchase it in. We'll confirm that water, gas and heat are running and that there are no active leaks! Depending on the size of the home this should take between 15-30 minutes!
Get the Keys!
We know, it's been a long journey! Emotionally and Physically for most people. We hope you hand is well rested because you'll be signing a ton of documents at the closing! Congratulations again!!!!
