A few weeks ago, my team and I were honored with the RE/MAX Platinum Award for 2025.

It’s always a good feeling to be recognized for the work you’ve put in, but this award felt different.

After almost 20 years in this business, I’ve had plenty of moments where an award like this felt like validation. A reminder that the long hours, the hard work, the sacrifices, and the persistence had all paid off.

In the past, I might have looked at an achievement like this and thought, Look at how much I’ve accomplished. Look at how hard I’ve worked.

This time, I felt something different.

Peace.

I felt grateful.

Grateful for the people we’ve surrounded ourselves with. Grateful for my teammates. Grateful for our clients who continue to trust us. And grateful for the realization that success doesn’t always have to mean working harder.

Sometimes, success means building the right team, creating the right relationships, and putting systems and people in place that allow everyone to thrive.

That realization has changed the way I look at the future.

As we move into 2026, my goal isn’t simply to achieve more or chase another milestone. I want to be better at helping the people around me — my teammates, my clients, and the people who trust us to be part of some of the biggest decisions in their lives.

Awards are meaningful. They’re a reminder that the work matters, and it always feels good to be acknowledged.

But over the years, I’ve learned that there’s something just as rewarding as being recognized for what you accomplish yourself:

Helping the people around you accomplish more, too.

That’s the kind of success I want to focus on moving forward.

And if this award represents anything to me today, it’s not just how far we’ve come.

It’s a reminder to appreciate the people who helped us get here — and to keep creating opportunities for the people around us to grow.
